Back-End Software Engineer

We are looking for a world-class software engineer to join our family and be part of our entrepreneurial development team. You will take high level ideas and transform them to live products. You will report directly to the founder.
Our stack includes Redis, Solr, MySQL, jQuery, a custom ad server, targeting and recommendation engines, and image serving and processing at a very large scale.
Skills & Requirements
- Top-notch software engineering talent
- Self-directed, independent and has experience owning complete features/products
- Amazing ability to get stuff done
- Proficiency in web application programming (OOP, Java/C++, LAMP)
- Good understanding of algorithms, network protocols and web services
- Experience developing real-world web applications
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and Lucene/Solr a plus
- A desire to build an engaging consumer experience
- Hard working and dedicated
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years experience
